Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a combination of two highly effective therapeutic practises – psychotherapy and clinical hypnotherapy. This potent blend of therapy enables the client to move forward with their lives in a calm and relaxed way by alleviating any underlying anxiety and allowing the mind to focus on making positive changes over a relatively short period of time.  

SFH is scientifically proven and very effective in the treatment of anxiety, phobias and depression as well as a host of other issues, which is why it is perfect for those of us navigating our way through the hormonal rollercoaster that is the menopause. The big M brings with it a whole host of physiological and psychological challenges, which is why I am adding Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to the list of ‘tools’ I have in my coaching toolkit and am currently studying for a Solution Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy Diploma with CPHT Hampshire (qualifying in October 2020).

As part of my Diploma, I need case studies and I am looking for volunteers who might like to receive therapeutic treatment from me at no cost. I only have 5 spaces available (as of 28th May 2020) so please act quickly!

I am already a trained Wellbeing Coach, a Kinetic Shift Practitioner and a student member of the AfSFH (Registration ID #1561) and NCH, and I have all the relevant insurance and safeguarding certificates required to practise as a student in this scientifically proven therapy. 

Will it help me with the effects of the menopause?

Many women suffer with increased anxiety as they go through the menopause (it is listed as one of the 34 menopausal symptoms) due to the drop in reproductive hormones, namely progesterone. Anxiety can affect all areas of our health and wellbeing, and often leads to an increase in stress. As our stress levels rise, they exacerbate many of the menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes, night sweats, poor sleep and low mood. It becomes a vicious circle as elevated stress levels then affect your existing anxiety, therefore compounding the already negative affect the menopause may be having on you.

Therefore, Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is the perfect therapy to help reduce this anxiety and ease the effects of the menopause. It has also been proven that Hypnotherapy is the most effective holistic therapy to manage stress.

Although I primarily work with mid-life women who are struggling with the M Word, I am looking for a range of case studies, so am happy to see both men and women who need help with a variety of issues – not all necessarily related to the menopause. Here’s a list of the concerns I can help with:

What can SFH help me with?

How much does it cost?

If you are lucky to be chosen as a case study then there will be no fee. Yep, you read that right, it won’t cost you a bean, although T&C’s do apply. They will be discussed prior to any treatment commencing. Fees will apply for non-case studies from July 2020.

How many sessions will I need & how long will they last?

It’s difficult to predict the number of sessions you will need as it depends on the issue/s you being treated for, therefore I will discuss this with you at the end of the initial consultation, when I have a better idea of your concerns. The IC lasts approximately 90 minutes and subsequent sessions last between 50-60 minutes.

How are the sessions delivered?

At the time of writing this, we are going into our 6th week of social distancing/lockdown due to Covid-19, therefore all sessions will be conducted virtually via video conferencing until further notice. 

Are you a medical practitioner?

Nope!  However, I am a trained Wellbeing Coach and Student Solution Focused Therapist, studying Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy (student member of the NCH and the AfSFH Registration ID #1561). I have studied the menopause in depth and have all the relevant insurance and safeguarding certificates required. I do advocate a variety of other therapies, both traditional and holistic, so will signpost you when appropriate.
