it’s time to let go

HYPNOTIC CORD CUTTING

A single session to release what (or who) no longer serves you

anxiety relief program

Hypnotic Cord Cutting

A single session. A profound release. A different way forward.

Is there something – or someone – you’re ready to finally let go of?

You’ve done the thinking. You’ve talked it through. You’ve told yourself to “just let it go” more times than you can count.

And yet here you are, still carrying it. Still feeling the pull towards a person, relationship, experience or pattern you know you want to move on from, or finding yourself affected by something you understand perfectly well but somehow can’t seem to leave behind.

And sometimes (if you’re really honest), it doesn’t even feel entirely yours. There can be patterns, beliefs and emotional legacies within families that seem to echo through generations, leaving us carrying things we may not fully understand or even know where they began.

But whatever the root and wherever it began, the result is much the same: something from the past is still taking up far too much space in your present.

And you’re ready for that to change.

Hypnotic Cord Cutting works differently.

WHY YOU’RE STILL STUCK (IT’S NOT WHAT YOU THINK)

what’s really going on

You’ve probably already tried to ‘fix’ this – change it – by talking about it, journalling, going to therapy, understanding the dynamic, naming the pattern or deciding (again) that it really is time to move on.

And perhaps, on one level, you have moved on. You understand what happened, you know why it affected you and you may even be completely clear about why you don’t want to carry it with you anymore.

But understanding something and releasing it aren’t necessarily the same thing. You can know all of that and still find yourself reacting, feeling the pull, getting triggered or experiencing the same emotions when something brings it all back.

And you can’t think your way out of something that doesn’t live in your thinking mind.

That’s why Hypnotic Cord Cutting doesn’t ask you to analyse it all over again. Instead, we use hypnosis to work with the emotional connection itself and give you an opportunity to experience letting it go, rather than trying to think your way there.

LETTING GO GIVES US FREEDOM, AND FREEDOM IS THE ONLY CONDITION FOR HAPPINESS.

What does the other side actually look like?

Not necessarily a dramatic transformation or a sudden personality overhaul. More a sense that the thing you’ve been bracing against simply doesn’t have the same hold over you anymore.

Clients have described finishing a session and noticing that the thought, the person or the situation that used to hijack their system just doesn’t have the same grip. They still remember what happened, of course, but they don’t react to it in the same unhelpful way.

You might find yourself making a decision you’ve been avoiding for months and it feeling surprisingly simple. Or realising mid-conversation that you’re no longer managing your reaction to someone. Or waking up and noticing the absence of something that used to be the first thing you felt every morning.

The shift isn’t always dramatic, but that doesn’t make it insignificant. And sometimes it reaches further than the cord you originally came to cut, because releasing one connection can create changes in other areas of your life that you weren’t necessarily expecting.

What if you don’t let go?

Nothing dramatically terrible will happen tomorrow. You’ll cope, you’ll manage and you’ll get on with it, the way you always have.

But if this person, relationship, experience or pattern is still taking up space in your head and affecting how you feel, you’ll probably keep spending energy on something you wish was finished. You might keep having the same internal argument with someone who isn’t even in the room, reacting to situations in ways you wish you didn’t, or making decisions about relationships, work or yourself through the filter of something that happened a long time ago.

And perhaps that’s the real question. Not whether you can keep carrying it, because clearly you can.

But whether you still want to.

Maybe you’ve already caught yourself wondering: how much longer am I going to be carrying this?

Because being able to carry something doesn’t mean you should or have to keep carrying it.

What does letting go actually feel like?

{

I was quite anxious going in […] Louise was brilliant at helping me feel calm and ready. During the session I felt totally relaxed and confident. It brought me many colours as we tapped into my subconscious mind. Quite beautiful. […] Quite remarkably, it doesn’t have the same power over me any more. I don’t feel the deep anger, sadness, wrong doing. I just feel like I’ve let it go and it’s lost its bad energy. I can now say with complete confidence that this session worked for me.

BELINDA – HYPNOTIC CORD CUTTING CLIENT

WHAT IS

Hypnotic Cord Cutting

In hypnotherapy, we talk about cords: energetic or emotional connections that can keep us tied to people, patterns and experiences long after we know we want to move on.

Hypnotic Cord Cutting is a powerful, holistic session that uses hypnosis to work with those connections at a deeper level than conscious thought alone. For some people the experience feels primarily emotional or psychological, while for others there can be a strong energetic or spiritual element to it too.

The patterns and emotional responses connected to those experiences can become deeply ingrained. They live in the neural pathways of our brain … grooves worn deep by repetition, emotion and time. And they can show up in all sorts of ways:

  • That inexplicable pull towards someone who’s no longer good for you
  • The pattern that keeps repeating no matter how hard you try to break it
  • The chapter of your life you just can’t seem to close
  • A feeling that what you’re carrying is bigger (or older) than your own story

It’s not about erasing the past. It’s about releasing its grip on your present.

WHY

it works

You can understand something inside out and still find that understanding alone hasn’t changed how you feel about it. That’s because our emotional responses aren’t always particularly interested in what we logically know to be true.

Hypnosis gives us a different way of working. By allowing the busy, analytical part of your mind to settle, we can work more directly with the subconscious, using imagery, suggestion and the cord-cutting process itself to work with connections that conscious thought alone may not have shifted.

For some people, the experience is primarily emotional or psychological. For others, there can be a strong energetic or spiritual element to it, including a sense that what they’re working with reaches further back than their own individual experience.

You don’t need to decide exactly which box it belongs in for the process to be meaningful. You can simply experience it in whatever way makes sense to you.

Get ready to let go!

Hypnotic Cord Cutting is a beautiful fit if you’re navigating:

N

The end of a relationship – romantic, friendship or professional

N

A difficult family relationship or a boundary you can’t seem to hold

N

A toxic workplace situation or a career chapter you’re ready to leave behind

N

A habit, fear or pattern that keeps repeating, no matter how much you understand it

N

A person, situation or experience that still has far more power over how you feel than you want it to

N

A life transition where you know something needs to shift but you’re not sure how

N

Something from your past that you understand, but still can’t seem to let go of

N

A desire to explore letting go in a way that can include the emotional, psychological, energetic and spiritual

N

A sense that what you’re carrying feels older, deeper or bigger than your own individual story

It can also be a good option if you know something needs to shift but don’t want to commit to ongoing therapy. HCC is a focused, standalone session, with no programme to complete and no ongoing commitment.

Previous clients have described it as unlike anything they’ve experienced before.

This IS for you if…

N

You’ve done plenty of thinking and talking about it, but somehow you still don’t feel free of it.

N

You’re open-minded and willing to try an approach that goes beyond analysing and understanding everything intellectually.

N

You want a single session that’s complete in itself – no ongoing commitment, no homework, no way to fall behind.

N

You have a sense that what you’re carrying may go deeper, or further back, than you consciously understand.

N

You’re drawn to work that can hold the psychological, emotional, energetic and spiritual without making you choose between them.

N

You read this and think, “Oh god, that’s me!”

This ISN’T for you if…

M

You’re looking for past life regression or psychic mediumship – that’s not what this is, and it’s not something I offer.

M

You want a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or someone to tell you exactly what to do next.

M

You’re in acute mental health crisis or currently need active clinical or psychiatric support. Please get the right professional support first.

M

You’re completely closed to hypnosis or to working experientially rather than trying to understand everything through conscious thought alone. HCC asks you to be willing to relax, engage with the process and see what comes up.

M

You read this and think, “Nope. Absolutely not for me.”

Why I do this work

I didn’t come to this work by accident.

I spent a long time being good at carrying things.

Things from my past that had long outstayed their welcome. Relationships and friendships that had run their course. Patterns I kept repeating without quite knowing why. The particular kind of exhausting emotional weight that comes from years of not quite letting go … of understanding something perfectly well and still feeling bound by it.

Talking therapy helped. I mean that – it’s been genuinely useful for me and I’d never tell anyone not to go. But I also know from my own experience that understanding something and releasing it are two very different things. You can have the most illuminating therapy session of your life and still wake up the next morning feeling the same pull.

When I experienced cord cutting for the first time with Desiree Eckert, who later trained me as an HCC practitioner, something shifted that hadn’t shifted in years of talking and I knew immediately that I wanted to offer this to other people.

More recently I used a cord cutting session to consciously release a difficult year, to let go of 2025 and step into the next chapter without dragging it with me. And once again, I felt the difference between understanding that I wanted to let something go and actually experiencing the release of it.

I do this work because I believe in it from the inside. Not as a technique I’ve learned, but as something I’ve lived.

And if any part of this page has felt like recognition … if something in you responded before your thinking mind caught up, trust that.

YOU ARE AFRAID OF SURRENDER BECAUSE YOU DON’T WANT TO LOSE CONTROL. BUT YOU NEVER HAD CONTROL; ALL YOU HAD WAS ANXIETY

HOW

It Works

The Hypnotic Cord Cutting Experience

Every HCC session begins with a conversation, and I won’t book you in until we’ve had an informal chat to make sure it feels like the right fit.

Before your session you’ll complete a short intake form. It’s not something I’ll interrogate you about. It’s really for you, to help you get clear on your intention and what you’d like to release.

The session itself is approximately 90 minutes and has three parts:

Setting the scene – we spend some time getting to know each other a little better, and I explain where Hypnotic Cord Cutting comes from, why it works, and how to get the most from it.

The eyes-closed process – where the real work happens. I guide you into a deeply relaxed hypnotic state, allowing us to work with the subconscious and the emotional bonds, patterns and connections that may not have shifted through conscious thought alone.

Energy protection – before we finish, I’ll teach you a few simple techniques to protect your energy so you can maintain the shifts you’ve made long after your session ends.

anxiety relief program

There are shifts that happen in this work that are genuinely hard to describe until you’ve felt them yourself. A loosening. A lightening. Like putting down something heavy you’d forgotten you were even carrying.

Many clients describe leaving with a profound sense of release, and you’ll also have simple self-hypnotic techniques to take away with you.

Most clients find a single session is enough, although further sessions are available if you’d like to go deeper.

Investment

A single Hypnotic Cord Cutting session is £197

That’s 90 minutes of deep, focused work – complete in itself, with no ongoing commitment. One session. One fee. Done.

STILL

on the fence?

Maybe you’re wondering if you’re too sceptical for this to work, or whether you need to believe in energetic cords, the subconscious or anything particularly spiritual for HCC to make a difference. Maybe you’ve tried other things before and you’re understandably wary of pinning your hopes on something else.

You don’t have to be completely convinced before you get in touch. Curious but not entirely sure is a perfectly reasonable place to start.

You don’t need to believe in any particular explanation for why HCC works, or decide whether what you’re experiencing is psychological, emotional, energetic or spiritual. You just need to be open to hypnosis and willing to engage with the process.

The informal chat before you book gives you a chance to ask questions, tell me what you’re hoping to let go of and decide whether HCC feels like the right fit for you.

And if you’ve got this far and something about HCC is resonating with you, even if you’re not entirely sure why, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

IS THIS YOU?

If you’re also trying to run a business while juggling relationships, responsibilities, other people’s needs and all the usual life stuff, there’s a fair chance you might qualify for The Knackered Businesswomen’s Club too.

It’s not a membership (yet). It’s more of an attitude, and the best way to find out if you belong is by taking the Official (but completely unscientific) TKBC Entrance Test.

Nine slightly-too-accurate questions designed to reveal just how knackered you really are.
