reclaim your peace

THE KNACKERED BUSINESSWOMEN’S CLUB

Run your business without running yourself into the ground

What is The Knackered Businesswomen’s Club?

Wired but tired? Can’t switch off? Can’t slow down but can’t fully show up? Read on.

Imagine waking up on a Monday morning without everything you’re carrying already sitting heavily on your chest before the week has even started.

Not because you’ve finally cracked the perfect morning routine, hired a VA or had a three-week holiday, but because you’re not carrying quite so much tension into everything you do.

Because when work, relationships, responsibilities and everybody else have all been taking their share of you, even the things you care about can start to feel harder than they need to.

What would it feel like to sit down to work with a clearer head and more energy for the business you care about? To have more of your attention and creativity available for it, rather than trying to run it with whatever you’ve got left? And to still have something left for yourself at the end of the day?

More energy for your life. More headspace for your business.

We’ll use relaxation, nature connection, therapeutic questioning and 45 minutes where you’re not working, sorting, organising or generally keeping everything (and everyone) going. And no – this isn’t another bloody course. It’s not another tedious mastermind either. And it’s definitely not the usual ‘smash your goals in 30 days’ BS.

It’s somewhere to slow down, settle and have less to hold for a while, so there’s a bit more of you left for your life, your business, and yourself.

WHY YOU’RE SO BLOODY KNACKERED

the real problem

You haven’t lost your drive, run out of ideas or suddenly become bad at running a business. You’re tired… maybe properly bloody knackered, and there’s a difference.

You’ve spent years, maybe decades, running your business while carrying everything else alongside it: home, relationships, other people’s needs, the mental and emotional load, the hormonal rollercoaster of midlife, and somehow being the one who keeps it all together.

And for a long time, you probably did keep it all together. You coped, managed and got on with things because that’s what you’d always done and, quite frankly, there wasn’t anyone else queuing up to do it.

But perhaps the things that used to work, the late nights, pushing through and telling yourself ‘I’ll rest when it’s done’, are taking more out of you than they used to.

So perhaps you assume the answer is to get better at managing it all: a better strategy, a new offer, more discipline, a different plan or yet another attempt at getting yourself properly organised.

And sometimes those things may help. But they don’t solve the problem of trying to think clearly when you’re stressed, overloaded and running on fumes from everything you’re carrying. Long-term stress can make concentration, flexible thinking and decision-making harder, which is not particularly helpful when your job requires you to make decisions all day.

Which might explain why you find yourself overthinking business decisions that used to feel straightforward, struggling to sit down and work with a genuinely clear head, or finding that even when the working day is technically done, your brain hasn’t got the memo.

You’ve probably already tried things that were supposed to help: books, podcasts, tools, productivity systems. The trouble is that even useful things can become one more thing to think about, implement and keep up with when what you actually need is less to hold, not more to do.

TKBC doesn’t give you another plan to execute. It gives you a regular place to stop and put some space between you and the constant doing, so you can return to your business and the rest of your life with a little more room in your head.

WHY

it works

You can’t always think yourself into feeling less stressed, especially when your mind is already full.

What can help is giving your body and brain regular opportunities to come down a notch rather than waiting until you’re completely frazzled and desperately trying to calm yourself down.

None of this means you’ll float serenely through every difficult client, deadline or business wobble. Life will continue to be life.

But when pausing and settling become things you practise regularly rather than emergency measures you reach for at the end of your tether, you may find it easier to recover from stressful moments, think more clearly, switch off sooner and have more left for the things that matter outside work.

When you’re less wired and frazzled, there’s more room to think clearly, make decisions and give your business the attention you want to give it, without using up every last scrap of yourself in the process.

The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.

HOW

it works

TKBC runs every Wednesday at 1pm, with the same 45-minute slot waiting for you every week. Four live sessions of support each month, recordings where appropriate, and practical ways to pause and settle that don’t require another bloody workbook.

The best bit is that there’s nothing to keep up with, nothing to prepare and no way to fall behind. You simply come when you can, and the support is still there when you can’t.

There’s also a private group away from Facebook where you can connect with other members without accidentally losing an hour to the doom scroll.

Over time it just becomes part of the rhythm of your week, a regular place to land that you don’t have to think about because it’s always there. All you have to do is show up exactly as you are, cuppa in hand and pyjamas entirely acceptable.

For £22 per month, you receive:

A Relaxation Session

A gentle, guided relaxation session to help you slow down, settle and give your busy mind somewhere else to go for a while. Think of it as 45 minutes where nothing is required of you except being there. (If you can’t make it live, you can watch the recording in your own time.)

A Therapeutic Q&A / Gentle Coaching Session

A confidential space to bring something that’s been taking up too much room in your head and look at it with support, therapeutic questioning and a fresh perspective – without being told what you ‘should’ do. You can share if you want to, listen if you don’t, and take whatever is useful. (This call is not recorded to protect privacy.)

A Virtual Nature Connection Session

Simple practices using your senses, attention and imagination to reconnect you with your body and the natural world, even if you’re joining from your office and the closest thing to wilderness is a slightly neglected houseplant. You don’t need to go anywhere or have access to acres of woodland. (If you can’t attend live, you can catch up via the recording.)

A Supported Co-Working / Co-regulating Session

Time to get something done in a softer way, with quiet online company and someone holding the rhythm so you don’t have to create all the momentum yourself. Perfect for the days when getting started feels unnecessarily difficult and having someone else ‘in the room’ makes it easier. (This session isn’t recorded, because it’s about being there in the moment.)

Quarterly Hypnotic Cord Cutting Session

Four times a year, the usual Relaxation Session is replaced with a 90-minute Hypnotic Cord Cutting Session.

Timed to the solar festivals – the solstices and equinoxes – each session is shaped around the natural rhythm of the season and offers space to reflect on what you’re ready to release, loosen your attachment to or leave behind as the year turns.

It’s an optional opportunity for deeper work within the rhythm of TKBC. (Live on Zoom and not recorded – this one asks you to be present.)

WHO

is it for?

It’s custom designed for women in midlife who’d rather lie down than “lean in”, but still have a business to run!

You’re good at what you do – you’ve built something real, you have clients who value you and a business that matters to you. You’re not ready to walk away from it, and you don’t want to.

But somewhere along the way, keeping everything (and at times everyone) going started taking more out of you than you’d like.

Work might follow you around long after you’ve shut the laptop, decisions take more thinking, and there never seems to be quite enough room in your head for everything demanding your attention.

Perhaps you’re more easily overwhelmed, or noticing that you don’t have much left for yourself once work, relationships, responsibilities and everybody else have had their share.

You might be properly exhausted, or simply thinking, ‘I don’t want to wait until I am.’

Midlife can bring a fairly spectacular collision of business, relationships, caring responsibilities, hormones, old emotional stuff and decades of being the capable one. TKBC gives you a regular place where you don’t have to hold quite so much for a while.

Somewhere to stop and rest for a while, with women who understand. If you’re wired, tired and wondering where the hell all your energy went, TKBC was built for you.

The TKBC Story

If I’m honest, I was probably its first unofficial member – I just hadn’t named it yet.

Before I trained as a hypnotherapist, I spent years in self-employment believing the BS of hustle culture – that if my business wasn’t going well, it must be because I didn’t know enough or wasn’t doing enough.

I was trying to run a business alongside relationships, responsibilities and my own emotional stuff, while still expecting myself to have the capacity I used to have.

So I kept trying harder, learning more and putting more pressure on myself to manage it all, without questioning whether managing it all was part of the problem.

Looking back, I can see how much energy went into holding everything together, leaving very little for the business I was trying so hard to make work.

Meanwhile, clients weren’t coming and income wasn’t flowing, so eventually I went back to floristry part time for the structure, creativity, human connection and, yes, a regular income that didn’t depend on me having a ‘good mindset day’.

It was harder than I expected. In fact I’m not sure how I managed to get through it, but very slowly, things eased and I was able to see what I needed and what had to change. And in that respite – TKBC, an idea I’d been sitting on for over a year, finally got built.

I’m still working that job. TKBC is part of my own practice too, because this isn’t something I’ve left behind and now teach from a safe distance. I’m still living the reality of running a business alongside everything else life contains.

That’s exactly why TKBC exists. Not because I’ve got it all figured out, but because I’ve learned the value of building regular pauses into the way I work rather than waiting until I’ve run myself into the ground.

Rest is not idleness

WHAT

people say

TKBC is brand new, so I’m not about to conjure up a collection of amazing testimonials about what a brilliant membership it is. Those don’t exist yet.

What I do have are genuine testimonials from people I’ve worked with through hypnotherapy, nature connection sessions, workshops and events. They aren’t testimonials for TKBC and I don’t want to pretend they are, but they can give you a feel for the way I work and the kind of spaces I create.

WHAT CLIENTS HAVE SAID

I wish it had lasted longer!!! I loved the guided meditation and could have stayed there longer, being open to experiencing the silence was profound as I realised there is so little silence in life, moving slowly was blissful.

This was a peaceful, amazing holistic experience for your whole mind, body and spirit and I would highly recommend this to anyone.

I always felt so relaxed in the sessions and had lots of laughs. It was so special to be able to have some sessions outside in nature.. Thank you Louise, you have changed my life.

Different work, different settings, but hopefully they give you a sense of what it’s like to be in a space held by me.

This IS for you if…

N

You’re a midlife businesswoman – coach, therapist, creative, healer, consultant, service provider or similar – carrying the mental and emotional load of everything else alongside a business you still care about.

N

You don’t always have the energy or headspace you’d like to give that business – or yourself.

N

You find it difficult to properly switch off, even when you’re technically not working.

N

You feel mentally overloaded, easily frazzled, stuck in overthinking, procrastination or perfectionism, or simply short of the headspace you used to have.

N

You don’t want another strategy, course or productivity system to keep up with. You’re already time poor; what you’re craving is some bloody space.

N

You’re open to simple, practical calming techniques, relaxation, therapeutic reflection and nature connection.

N

You like the idea of support that is there every week without expecting you to attend everything, complete homework or ‘keep up’.

N

You read this and think, ‘Oh God, that’s me.’

This ISN’T for you if…

M

You’re looking primarily for business coaching, strategy, accountability or someone to tell you exactly what moves to make next.

M

You want fast, dramatic results or a high-energy space built around big goals, launches and constant action.

M

You want a structured programme with milestones, homework and a specific promised outcome.

M

Learning about ways to relax, reflective practices and nature connection simply don’t appeal to you.

M

You want a ‘kick up the backside’. TKBC is intentionally gentler than that.

M

The Wednesday rhythm and the way the membership works don’t feel useful to you. There is absolutely no virtue in joining something simply because the sales page told you that you should.

M

You’re looking for one-to-one therapy, diagnosis, medical treatment or personalised clinical support.

M

You’re currently in acute mental health crisis or need active clinical or psychiatric support. TKBC is a supportive membership, not a replacement for appropriate healthcare or therapy.

STILL

have questions?

When do the sessions take place?

Wednesday at 1pm. I chose this day and time intentionally as a middle of the week, middle of the day, built-in pause. Same day, same time, every single week.

What if I can’t attend live sessions?

There’s no requirement to attend everything live. The Relaxation and Nature Connection sessions are recorded so you can catch up whenever it suits you. The Q&A and co-working sessions aren’t recorded because they’re intended to be live spaces, but there’s no obligation to attend those either. Come to as many or as few sessions as feel helpful. This is a steady rhythm of support, not another obligation.

How much time will this take each month?

In a usual month, if you attended all four sessions live, it would be around three hours in total. Two of those sessions – Relaxation and Nature Connection – are recorded, so you can catch up when it suits you instead.

Four times a year, the usual 45-minute Relaxation Session is replaced by an optional 90-minute Hypnotic Cord Cutting session, so that month’s total is a little longer.

There is no expectation that you attend everything.

Do I have to share or talk in the group?

Not at all. You’re very welcome to listen, observe and take what you need, and there’s never any pressure to share. If you do feel like joining in, you’ll be among women who understand the particular joys of trying to run a business when your brain wouldrather have a lie-down. But quiet participation is still participation.

Do I have to be a business owner to join?

TKBC is designed specifically for midlife businesswomen, so you’ll get the most from it if you’re self-employed, running a business or carrying similar responsibility for your work. If that isn’t you but the rest of the page has made you think, ‘This is exactly what I need’, you’re very welcome to get in touch and have a chat.

Is this therapy?

No. TKBC isn’t therapy and it isn’t a substitute for therapy, medical care or mental health support.

It is a thoughtfully held membership drawing on simple nervous system regulation practices, Solution Focused questioning, creative coaching approaches and nature connection. You choose how much or how little you participate.

If you’re already receiving therapy or other mental health support and you’re unsure whether TKBC is appropriate alongside it, check with the professional supporting you.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes. No minimum terms, no long commitments. Cancel whenever you need to.

Nothing can bring you peace but yourself

RALPH WALDO EMERSON

STILL

on the fence?

Maybe you’re wondering whether you’re really knackered enough. After all, you’re still functioning, the work is getting done and nobody has had to prise the laptop out of your hands and send you to bed.

But you don’t have to wait until you’re completely burnt out. If you’re tired of work, life and everybody else having first dibs on your time, energy and headspace, that’s reason enough.

Do I really need this if I’m still coping?

You didn’t build your business by accident. You’ve put years of work, thought and care into it, and wanting a different way of running it doesn’t mean you’ve stopped being ambitious or committed.

TKBC isn’t asking you to do more. It’s giving you one small thing you don’t have to organise for yourself: a regular pause, already sitting in the diary, every Wednesday at 1pm. Think of it as 45 minutes of your week you’re not giving away.

Sometimes we’ll relax. Sometimes we’ll talk. Sometimes we’ll connect with nature or get some work done alongside each other. But every week there is somewhere you can turn up exactly as you are and, for 45 minutes, stop carrying quite so much.

The hope is simple: that over time you find it a little easier to switch off, recover from stressful days, think clearly and have some energy and headspace left for the rest of your life.

That’s what you’re joining for.

Remember

All of this is just £22 per month (£27 from 1st September). No minimum terms. Cancel any time.

You don’t have to burn out to prove you’re committed. And you don’t have to wait until everything is falling apart before you’re allowed to make things easier.

NOT SURE YOU QUALIFY? THERE’S A TEST FOR THAT.

I created the Official (but completely unscientific) TKBC Entrance Test because being knackered doesn’t always look like being completely burnt out. Sometimes you’re still functioning perfectly well on the outside, even though you’re wondering why everything seems to take so much more effort than it used to.

It’s deliberately lighthearted, but the nine questions are surprisingly revealing and might help you spot just how much you’ve been carrying while trying to run a business alongside it all.

It only takes a few minutes and will tell you fairly plainly whether you’re the sort of knackered this Club was built for.
